Are you on my insurance? |
|
We do not accept assignment from insurance companies. Our policy regarding insurance has always been that we choose to work directly with and for our patients, rather than indirectly through an insurance company. Therefore, we have never joined any HMOs, PPOs, Medicaid or other types of managed care. Because we do not work with insurance companies, we do not stay versed on their coding requirements and therefore do not use such coding. Because of this, it is not likely that insurance companies will process your claims. Additionally, because we seek to prevent disease and promote wellness, many of our medical services would be uncovered.
Our doctors have voluntarily opted out of the Medicare Program. As a result, our doctors can see Medicare patients, but only if they first elect to pay in full for all services rendered and sign a Medicare "Waiver" in which they agree not to file claims with Medicare to seek reimbursement for the medical care they receive at the The Center for Hope and Healing. |

What is your financial and billing policy? |
|
We strive to keep our fees fair and competitive within the community. Cash, Check and Master Card and Visa are accepted as payment for services. We do not participate with any insurance plans. We will give you a receipt that you may submit to your insurance company and they may reimburse according to your plan.
New patients are required to pay the first visit in full at the time of service. Payment plan options may be available through our billing office for existing patients. These plans need to be established before your visit.
If the insurance sends us a check for your visit we will return it to them and request that they pay you. At The Center for Hope and Healing, we endeavor to provide to our patients the best possible health care. In return, we expect our patients to meet their financial obligations.
* Please note that because we do not file with insurance we are not up to date on all billing and coding and may not be able to provide you with information that your insurance company requires for reimbursement.
